A total of 561 race vehicles were involved in these drag racing events held at the Spokane County Motorsports Park on Saturday, September 27th. These races were sponsored by the Spokane Pro Gas Association.

The Spokane Pro Gas Association (SPGA) has announced some additional classes to celebrate the final day of racing this year. Gates will open at 8am. The quick 16 and street car shootout eliminations will be run on dial-in, not heads up.

Today there was another great turnout! There were 101 cars running in the money classes, and 117 cars in the two trophy brackets for a total of 218 bracket cars. This is in addition to the 217 cars that showed up in the evening just for the street drags.

Tomorrow, Saturday September 20th, there will be bracket racing followed by street drags. For bracket racing the gates open at 9am, eliminations begin at 1pm. Cost is $7 admission + $25 for a tech card to race.

For those of you following along at home, the RFQ process is in full swing at the county. On Wednesday, September 10th, there was an non-mandatory pre-submittal meeting. You’ll find a scanned copy of the sign-in sheet here.

The September 7th Volunteer Day at Spokane County Motorports Park was a huge success. Volunteers start arriving shortly after 6am. Staff and team leaders arrived early, followed by the rest of the volunteers. Most had arrived by 8:30am. The work details officially started at 9:00am.
