Today the racing community showed their support for the track with 194 cars participating in the bracket racing. RULES: The 2005 AHRA Rulebook will be the rules used for the 2008 drag racing events.
BRACKETS: There will be four brackets broken down as follows:
TROPHY BRACKET 1: 12.99 and quicker
TROPHY BRACKET 2: 13.00 and slower
PAYOUT BRACKET 1: Top Comp (T/C) 10.49 and quicker

The Spokane Pro Gas Association has provided me with a copy of the Minor Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement Form. I’ve scanned the form and made it available here. All minors will need to have this form completed.

The Spokane Pro Gas Association is trying to put together four drag racing events: August 30 and September 13, 20 and 27.
Those events are one large step closer to becoming a realtiy. Today, the fee structure for use of the Motorsports Park was amended by the county commissioners for non-profit organizations.

I just spoke with Michael Warnecke at the county. He stated that they are in need of front end loaders for the volunteer cleanup day scheduled for September 7th at Spokane Motorsports Park (formerly known as Spokane Raceway Park). For details, please contact Michael at 509-953-8751.

A new event has been added to the Motorsports Park schedule for Monday, August 18th. This event is a road course, Motorcycle usage activity sponsored by F & A Metal Fabrication.
